These prices are sourced from Realtor reports as available on the Internet. The numbers reported are the average of all sales, not the median. It will be updated monthly when data is available. Prices for West Northumberland are shown as a proxy for Cobourg.
Note re big jump in prices: Since average prices are given, the mix is important. For example, if more high end houses are sold than usual, averages would be higher than usual. Jody Ledgerwood of the Northumberland Hills Association of Realtors says that a more useful measure of House prices is the MLS Home Price Index (HPI) which puts October’s price at $506,700, rising 14.6% compared to October 2019.
