Merry Christmas – 2017

Cobourg Internet started in November 2004 as a Retirement project and in July 2013, Cobourg News started reporting News about Cobourg.  In November 2013, a subscription list was started that provided regular updates to anyone interested. That list now has over 700 subscribers.  In September 2017, it migrated to a new platform. I’d like to wish everyone who visits the site a Merry Christmas and a Great New Year and my heartfelt thanks go to all the people who have expressed appreciation of the service provided. Below you will find some Christmas information and a neat video.

Thank you for everything you do for our community. I appreciate the info neatly listed here to tell us when important destinations like the liquor store are open over the holidays. With a partner who works in health care and scheduled to be on the job for each and every statutory holiday this season, keeping on track can be hard sometimes, and the man deserves to have a drink waiting for him when he gets home at 10 pm.

Ever the wannabe editor, I note that the only piece of info not included is the garbage collection day changes over the holidays. Copied directly from the County website, here is what we need to know:

“Please note: During the week of December 25th, collection will bump two days ahead: Monday will be collected Wednesday, Tuesday will be collected Thursday, and so on. During the week of January 1st, collection will bump one day ahead”.
